What is it?
The mind, body, spirit connection refers to the interconnectedness of our mental, physical and spiritual health. It emphasized how everything works together and how everything cannot work together if anything is not working properly.
Why does it matter?
The body all works together. And if any part of the body is sick, or has an infection, If the body is low in nutrients, it all matters because the body all works together. If even one part is not well, all is not well.
Core Body Concepts
The body needs movement to be healthy, just as it needs sleep and nutrition. Without key nutrients and the right amount of sleep, the body can be useless. Symptoms range from brain fog to sleepless nights. Brittle nails and hair can be a problem just as weak muscles. It’s all connected.
Mind Clarity and Regulation
Being able to focus and regulate your emotions is a sign of health. There is so much in health, but regulation isn’t just in your emotions. If your body can’t regulate its core temperature, then that is a sign of a problem. Our body is controlled throughout, and if even our mind is out of regulation, then we can expect problems.
Spirit: meaning, Connection, Presence
It is hard to define the spirit, but I’m gonna try! The spirit is an omnibeing. Holy and ethereal is how I see it. I see it like a living, breathing thing, except it doesn’t need breath. Perfect doesn’t describe the spirit, but above us and our laws.
The spirit is a part of the trinity. Father, son, and spirit. Without one, you cannot have the other. Without the son, you cannot have the father, and without the father, you cannot have the spirit. But with the son, you can have all three and life until eternity. Thats what I believe anyway. But the spirit is everywhere all the time.
Daily Routine
Having a daily routine ensures that we are building the right habits into our lives. For our family we have a morning routine and an evening routine. Keeps us on track and in order. Our morning routine includes cleaning our bodies and eating brealkfast. And our evening routine envolves cleaningour bodies and dinner!
Habit Stacking
Habit stacking is a productivity techniue popularized by James Clear and SJ Scott. It is the act of attaching a new desired habit to an existing established habit and uses the existing habit as a trigger to create the new more desired habit.
So the idea is to encourporate all this into the mind, the body and the spirit.
Habit Formation and Tracking
Forming a habit involves doing the same thing over and over until you do it automatically. And in my experience not putting yourself down in the process keeps the progress moving forward.
For example: I have been lifting weights everyday two ways. I need to do more but for now just two ways of lifting weights with my arms. The goal is to create a habit that I can build on. If I keep doing it then I can add stuff in but first I have to establish the habit and making the time to do the habit.
